Trinidad Tarpon Thunder 2015

From 7th to 9th August a dozen teams left Chaguaramas coast at the break of dawn in search of the silver giants at the Trinidad Tarpon Thunder 2015. Competition was fierce since most teams were experts at tarpon fishing and there was a lot of fish everywhere.

On the first session Team Wash took a significant lead and no one was able to come close to them. However the fight for 2nd place was a serious battle right down to the last session between teams Mapepire, Ramajay and D Rog

Results of the top three places were:

First Place:

Team Wash

Conformed by Mathew Milne, Paul Hamel-Smith, David Hamel-Smith, Gregory Joseph, Luke De Freitas and Captain Sean Mendoca.

Second Place:

Team Ramajay

Conformed by Blayne Farinha, Josh Lewis, Morgan Hannok, Christian Reece and Captain Michael Ross.

Third Place:

Team D Rog

Conformed by Brett Thompson, Christian Bernard, Jonathan Bernard, Simon Bernard and Captain Alan De Verteuil

Other teams with an impressive performance were: Mapepire, Silva Hook, Wahoo Jr, Anger Management, Bounty Hunter and Ruff'n it. Overall great tournament organized by the TTGFA promoting the catch and release of tarpon in the country and thus the conservation of these magnificent animals.
